Wedding Montage

New Toy

Amy passed her bike trailer down to Liz so Ben and Tucker could tag along when she rides her bike. On Friday night the kids spent at least an hour giving each other rides up and down the street. Great exercise, great memories and great fun with cousins!!!

Blues Brothers

This pic. makes me think of The Blues Brothers every time I see it!

Hard to believe you can supply music for an entire evening wedding with only the few pieces of equipment there on the table. Isn't technology grand?! (Brother -Merrill and our dad)

Cute Girls at the Wedding

Since Amanda's name pops up in the next few blog entries, I thought you might like to know who she is. She is 3rd from the left in this pic. and she's Liz's friend from High School. She feels like part of the family.

Besides, this pic. is too cute not to post! From L to R...Kayla, Liz, Amanda & Shelby.

Newlyweds

This picture was taken at Amy and Troy's wedding on Aug. 28, 2008 and it cracks me up!!! Look at Amy and Troy near the center of the picture standing/kissing in the middle of chaos. While the family shows it's true colors (especially Devin and myself) the Newlyweds only have eyes for each other. "Oh...are you all still here???"

Thanks for the shot, Amanda!

Mamma Mia!

Can you say GINORMOUS Mama Mia fans??? Today we went to see Mama Mia again (my 3rd time paying for it). Mom, Dad, Ellie and Amanda hadn't seen it yet so we (Roger, Eryn, Liz and I) were more than happy to have an excuse to go see it again. We've been big Abba Fans since the days of driving back and forth from Brigham City to pick up the girls for their weekend visits. The Abba CD was the good ole' standby to listen to on the way there and back. Since the Mama Mia/Abba music was such a part of our good old days, it's no surprise we LOVE the movie and pride ourselves in singing along at the movie theater. Well...at least I do. My husband is starting to be too embarassed to go with me anymore! I'll be buying this movie on DVD the day it comes out. I've already spent enough on movie tickets to pay for it at least once!!!

Kayla and Tucker

Tucker is growing up so fast. He just turned one on August 6th and he's already driving! We'd better stay off the sidewalks.

Kayla started third grade this year and she's a huge Hannah Montana fan! She's staying with her cousins while her mom is on her honeymoon this week.

Where Do They Get This Stuff?

Devin and Ben are flashing their best "Gangsta Peace" sign. I guess since it's a "peace sign" I can be okay with it for now. It's a little scary how soon the little ones start learning by watching the examples they have around them. -No pressure, Devin!!!

Dad and Daughters

These girls just keep growing up and getting more beautiful, and I feel so blessed to be married to such an awesome man who's such a great dad to his/our kids. He still laughs and jokes around with them all the time. It keeps us young (hopefully).

Goofy Cousins!

Eryn - 15, Shelby - 14, James - 13 hanging out and having fun at Amy's wedding. Eryn is a Sophmore at Highland High School this year. Don't even get her started on her class schedule!!! She also starts Drivers Ed this year. We now have 2 teenage daughters driving...oh the pain of it all!

Ariel and Cindy

For a while our pics may show up in random order cause I'm just getting started. I "stole" this one from Shelby's blog because it's soooo cute of Ariel and Cindy. This was at the block "partay" that Merrill and Cindy always have around the 24th of July. Fun music, dancing, food and fireworks!

Ariel turns 18 on October 26th. YIKES!!! She's a senior at Highland High School this year. (We're too young to have kids this old...right???)

Parker and Ben

Parker and Ben are sporting new "hair-dos" for Amy's wedding. Parker's got an additional accessory on his forehead. He was trying to get a puppy from the little corral in the garage and somehow tipped right over the fence landing squarely on his forehead. I think his dad has a pic. similar to this when he was Parker's same age.

Devin's Desk

Devin and I always go into his classroom together on the first day of school to find his desk and supplies. His teacher, Mr. Okumura, is Japanese- American (but he only knows a few words of Japanese). For years he has had a snake for a class pet. It's a ball python, that weighs about 25 (o.k. maybe 10) pounds. Every year he let's the class vote on a name for the snake. This year the class named her "Snakers." (I hate the thing, but those kids love it) I'll post a pic. of it in the near future. Maybe then I'll tell the story of the day it escaped from the cage!!!

First Day of Fourth Grade

Here's Devin all decked out on his first day of 4th grade. He's getting pretty fussy about his clothes, shoes and accessories (backpack and jackets). Up until this year, I did all of his school shopping without him. This year he insisted on going with me and...well, let's just say...my mom always told me someday I would have a child just like me!

Third Time's the Charm

I have tried to get this blog going on three different occasions now. Let's hope it works this time.
